Oxfordshire-based start-up Manything approached us with a simple goal – to generate publicity for the launch of their new video monitoring app.
We quickly got into gear with a feature in Forbes, coverage that immediately lifted the number of downloads. Further stories appeared across a wide variety of national newspapers and influential tech sites including the Sunday Times, the BBC, the Daily Mail, the Evening Standard, Sky News, the LA Times, USA Today, the Sunday Times, The Next Web, CNET, Slashgear, BGR, Mashable, GigaOm, The Apple Insider and The Gadgeteer.
From a starting point of 25,000, the number of downloads now exceeds 350,000 and is growing at 50% per month. Usage has also reached a record high, with users uploading over eleven years of video each day.
All of which has helped Manything to begin monetising its service by introducing a monthly payment plant.
