We’ve been working with an exciting new company who promise to provide squeaky clean energy for the same price as ‘dirty energy’ to businesses.
And, unsurprisingly their name is Squeaky.
They’re a B2B platform out to change the way UK SMEs buy green energy – by allowing them to buy directly from renewable generators.
Squeaky isn’t a supplier – it’s a platform that’s disrupting the electricity supply market by allowing small green independent generators to become suppliers. The high costs prohibit these generators from setting themselves up as suppliers.
So, Squeaky has taken that burden off them for no cost – and finds their customers too. They also receive a better price for their power than via the Big Six.
Squeaky was founded by Chris Bowden, a 27-year veteran of the energy industry and given his background and contacts, Squeaky has already secured access to around 10% of the country’s entire renewable energy capacity – that’s roughly enough power to supply 100,000 SMEs.
It’s early days for us yet – but so far we have sparked a feature interview in Forbes and a blog in Startups.co.uk.
Also, by using Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Accord on climate change we successfully generated more coverage in a leading energy trade magazine Energy Voice.
We have now secured two opinion pieces for Chris – the first in Insider.co.uk and the other in Energy Voice.
More coverage arrived in Verdict, Business Green, and Business Daily.
And, with mentions in – not one – but two nationals (The Guardian and The Telegraph) we are happy.
With 2018 now underway more coverage has arrived, and we’re pleased to say, in The Times nonetheless.
