In these difficult and stressful coronavirus times we’ve been very fortunate to be working with the UK’s leading provider of maintenance services – the Essex based Ground Control provide award-winning services across the country.
Their services include grounds maintenance, landscape construction, design, arboriculture, winter maintenance and electric vehicle charge point installation. They directly employ nearly 300 people, service over 50,000 private and public sector sites and supply work to over 5,000 contractors.
With the very nature of what they offer, Ground Control are providing essential services nationwide during the pandemic – in fact they are still recruiting staff.
With several news stories needing media attention our initial efforts have been concentrated on three areas. And, over the last few months we’ve been cultivating coverage for an acquisition story, gaining growth for a remote working story and we’re continuing to germinate publicity about Ground Control’s recent internationally recognised health and safety award.
The first story we dug into was the news that Ground Control had become the country’s largest private gritting company following an acquisition. The news was eagerly scooped up by a range of trade titles including Pro Landscaper, Facilities Management Journal, Horticulture Week, Landscape & Amenity, Insider Media, British Association of Landscape Amenities , Tomorrow’s Health & Safety, i-FM, Facilitate Magazine and Consultancy UK.
Their decision to allow all office-based employees to work from home – in advance of the Government’s guidance to businesses to do so – allowed us to generate additional coverage in Pro Landscaper, Landscaper, BALI and Hort Week.
And Ground Control’s on-going commitment to the well-being of their staff and news of their award has so far seen coverage in Hort Week, BALI and Pro Landscaper.
Watch this space for more coverage updates soon.
