Enterprise software is the unloved, unsexy, unglamorous but hugely successful part of the wider technology sector.
While the likes of Apple, Uber and Facebook have journalists queuing to speak to them, enterprise software tech companies continue to produce innovative products away from the media spotlight.
Few outsiders appreciate the size of this market (eg. this year global revenue is forecast to reach $620bn) and importance. After all, where would we be without SaaS?
The reality is that it’s drier and more complex than consumer tech. All of which makes it harder for successful SMEs to catch the eye of investors.
To try to change perceptions, we were commissioned at the eleventh hour to promote Enterprise EMEA, Europe’s only conference dedicated to the enterprise software sector.
Rolling up our sleeves we quickly generated piece in arguably the world’s premier finance / business outlet – Forbes. In addition, we successfully placed the conference organiser in stories that appeared in the BBC and the Evening Standard.
