We were bought in recently to help the online local services marketplace Bidvine.com with their PR.
Bidvine’s mission is to make hiring local trusted service professionals a simpler process. The idea is to provide a better way to find local service providers who are there when you need them, can do what is needed and are interested in helping. This could range from finding a plumber or electrician, house cleaning help, personal training sessions through to hiring a language tutor for your teenager or learning a new skill.
The plan was to promote five different stories to maximise publicity.
And, these included children’s current career aspirations, home improvements in readiness for winter weather, smart homes, jobs for university students and the increase in demand for language lessons.
With each story, we approached national titles as well as the relevant trade magazines. This involved a lot of background work by us to ensure we were compiling the best press lists and journalists to contact.
With bidvine.com having undertaken the necessary research and providing us with the facts and figures we were ready to go.
The i was the first national to feature bidvine.com and children’s aspirations in their ‘The List’ section. The article unfortunately didn’t appear online.
The home improvements story appeared in The Times, The Daily Express, the Metro and Property Reporter. With the smart homes piece, also appearing in Property Reporter – followed by PHAM News and Self Builder and Homemaker. In addition, four more trade titles will be publishing next month.
We then achieved our second great result in The Times – with a large feature about the best paying student jobs. And, Save The Student updated a previous story.
Finally, we worked on the language lessons story with our biggest win up-to-date being the Daily Express. We also approached educational journalists and ex-pat titles in the UK. FE News ran the story but others are still yet to commit.
We’ll update as they come in…
