Brighton start-up TagPoints has a tech solution that’s providing some much needed assistance to struggling high street retailers. Its mobile phone loyalty app allows companies to send messages and discounts to customers’ mobile phones, based on their location, spending history and online purchases.
The first piece of coverage was generated in Forbes – with follow up stories appearing in a range of influential trade titles including Marketing Week, Retail Gazette, Internet Retailing, The Drum, Retail Week, Drapers, Mobile Marketing, International Business Times and a feature interview on BBC Radio 4 program You & Yours.
Not only did the publicity generate numerous business leads from leading UK and international retailers – after six months the co-founders made a profitable exit by selling TagPoints to international marketing company SmartFocus.
